Guy in my class is cute how to approach him?

I am a college student and I noticed a cute guy in one of my classes that looks at me. We never sit together and I do not want to just plop down next to him. He was looking at me today and I want to get to know him, in two weeks the semester will be over. What can I do? (btw I'm a pretty shy person)
