What happened to the pigeons?

when i was a kid i remember there being tons of pigeons along with all the other birds outside but now there are none. I live in Warwick RI and i only thought of this because i got woken up this morning by crows. They too have been gone for a while and have just seemed to made a comeback. Pigeons though i never see, blue jays too i never see anymore......idk why???
