Does he REALLY like me or am I wasting my time? Were adults here.?

I'll keep this short, hes 28, cute, educated, but has never really had a girlfriend. Probably bc he lives in a super small town. We live 6 hours apart but we see each other often. I can tell he really likes me when were together, hes really affectionate, says sweet things, and speaks of the future in terms of "we" "us" etc. I can tell that he would do anything for me. Problem? Hes nervous to tell his family he has a gf. Hes told his two closet friends, but hes hesitant with his family. He says its bc he has zero expierence in telling them things like that and he doesnt exaxctly know how to go about it bc hes never had a gf, let alone a long distance one. Hes hesitant to tell his family and I feel like im pressuring him to. But at the same time, my friends and family all know were together and I expect the same in return. Hes doing the same thing when it comes to changing is relationship status on facebook, not that I need the reassuance by making it facebook official, but its still just like, why are you so hesistant. I told him I was changing my realtionship status and he said that i should, it would get his sisters asking about it then hed "have to tell them", I dont want him to "have" to tell them. I want him to like me and care enough to WANT to tell them. Also, Im moving 22hrs away in 4weeks, we plan to still see each other once a month. I know he has the dedication to make this work even LONGER long distance and he wants it to work, but I just dont know if its worth the time and hassle. Hes coming down in 3wks(the wk before I leave) to spend 4days together, should I see how that goes then make me decision? Should I give him an ultimatium? Or should I totally say to hell with this guy and move on? I mean, hes almost 30, grow up and live life.
