Why did this momma cat just bite and hiss at me......?

The cat won't hurt you, if she wanted to she would have done it through those bites she has already done and since they did not penetrate your skin, those were little warning bites that she is moody. I know with my cat, if I do not give her attention, she will grab my hand with her mouth but she has never penetrated my skin. Honestly, just put her and the babies in the garage if you have one. A raccoon could end up taking a kitten or any other creature. She's acting weird because she's exhausted and most likely still sore from giving birth. My cat was not herself when she had given birth for a week but after a week she got used to being a mother and was fine. So just put her and the babies somewhere safe. Get some advantage for her so she does not infest the babies with fleas and when they hit 8- 12 weeks old, put an ad up for them to be adopted or bring them to a humane society. Up to you.
