I am enrolled at University of Colorado Boulder for this fall 2011. I need some grants or scholarships to pay for my College. I live in Boulder. Do you know any need based grants provided by Boulder country or it can be scholarships. My EFC (expected family contribution) is zero and my status is Asylee. What bikes are the best for someone new?

Ok some im 22 and am about 6.1.. Im looking to buy a bike within the next few years maybe even this year. Now as of this second i have zero experience on a bike but before i ever buy one im going to take all the saftey courses that they offer. Now iv heard things like 250cc are great bikes and even to the point that its absolutly not advisable to buy anything over a 250cc. Here is the problem whatever i get im gonna have for a few years and iv heard that 250cc gets bored really fast. The most driving im going to do is in town 30 mph driving to class especially at the begining and i will never do any driving that is stupid such as 100 mph. And im not looking for a cruiser just a sports bike. what cc should i look for that i will be able to enjoy for years and not get bored but still be able to handle. Also eventually im going to buy a Duc 848 how much experience should one have before buying that bike (yes i know the repair and everything is expensive if dropped, money is no issue here) Thanks for the help

Baby pigeon in my balcony please help?

I was moving my stuff from the balcony because we are moving, and I saw a pigeon's nest.. there was an egg, and a baby pigeon about a few days old (it can walk, and eat). I just noticed it, and I HAD to remove it's shelter. After awhile it started to rain, and the whole nest ( including the egg) got wet. I put a a oven drawer thing over the nest leaving enough room for the parent pigeons to get in and out from. I'm worried that the baby pigeon will die, and is the egg ruined now since it got wet from the rain? Is there anything I can do for the pigeons since I'm moving away?

5 years old, manifest in the past week, previous to that would briefly whimper before eating. Eats all of his food, clear and regular stools, seems weak. Saw vet a week ago before falling symptoms, x-rays returned negative for tumors, fractures, etc. Vet associated pain before eating and weakness to arthritis in the hind knees (Luxated patellas). first of all, no more dog park until the dog respects you ... why should the dog run beside you when he knows he is going somewhere that he can run wherever, however he wants ... in fact i would keep that dog leash around your waist for hours every single day so he learns where you go, he goes ... he is just untrained ... this is not a stubborn dog issue, this is a smart dog who has taken over ... still is a nice dog i am sure but he is not well trained and does not respect you, otherwise he would run when you run ... i would make him work for every single thing ... sitting and waiting for his food to be put down ... sitting and waiting nicely to have the leash put on ... and no dog park for at least a year, the only running should be beside you ... if you look at his "stubbornness" for what it is, and that is an untrained dog who does not respect his owner it might give you the motivation to be a bit more firm cuz who wants to be outsmarted by a dog ... the dog can be taught to respect you in less than two weeks if you put the right work in and are firm and not soft with the dog ...

Ok so it happened to me... I went to go to the washroom not realizing that my iPhone was in my back pocket and plop when the iPhone. I immediately grabbed the phone (pants around my ankles) took off the case and dried it out with a towel. For some reason the screen came on, then static, then nothing. No one knows if there will be a 3rd season but if you go to manga reader they are updated the quickest. Currently, Yuki is back at the school an restarted the Night Class and has more interactions with Zero. Also, Kaname isn't present in the recent chapters but Yuki is continuing with her role as the death bringer for the vampires. But based on the trends for the anime the next season would need more material for another season to be produced because each season has been based on 5 volumes, so wait a little a new season may be coming on top of that there are a TON of fans so i believe there will be another season! =D

This is a joke, right? I do not find the breastfeeding of babies in public disgusting. Why would I? A mom breastfeeding isn't showing nipple and not a lot of breast tissue. You actually see more breast tissue on the front of Cosmo and Vogue magazines. My dog cant stand up?

ok here's the history. she is 12 years old about 3 months ago she was put on thyroid medication and pills to lower liver enzymess. we don't know whats causing the liver enzymes to be high. the vet said one problem at a time. her abdominal area is bloated as well. today she can't stand up by herself and if she does with help, its for a couple of seconds then she plops back down with frog legs. the vet is closed and wedon'tt have money for ER visit where they rip you off. so whats going on? what should we do? is she ok till monday?

My partner has had chronic pain problems for years and they seem to have started when she worked near a field of high voltage power pylons. Although she no longer works there the problems seem to have persisted as we also have a mains terminal post twenty feet from our bedroom from which pigeons drop D.O.A on a regular basis(not a bad thing). Year and a half.... Weight loss zero?

I've been trying for a year and a half to lose weight... And I've tried every diet under the sun. Atkins, weight watchers, slimming world, cabbage soup the list goes on. So I changed my mind and started to change my eating habits to see if this would work, but to make dismay nothing happened. In conjunction with this I go to the gym 5 days a week go swimming once a week go running 3 times a week and do Zumba 3-4 days a week.... So I can't see why I'm still 15 stone.... I haven't lost or gained weight but it's just not shifting... I am living at the moment on chicken with no fat or skin vegetables, I have pasta with tomato sauce (brown pasta) and I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. I don't has takeaways.... Okay so there's this guy i like... unfortunately he's taken.... should i go for him?

Okay, so i'm pretty but right now i don't have the nicest body (stomach especially). By the middle of summer i should be back in shape. Anyways, back to the point. So there's this i guy I like.... my friend used to like him so i tried to get to know him a little for her, cuz she didn't have any classes with him. Problem with booting from CD?

My computer has a problem booting from CDs. My plan was to install PLoP Boot Manager through floppy disk, then use the boot manager to attempt to boot from the CD. is this going to work? Anything I should consider?

Will my knee be okay?

ABout 2 months ago I partially dislocated my knee cap, and the whole knee locked as well. It went into place after I screamed and shook my leg XD But the doctor said it was because my hips are too loose and it's made me develop pigeon feet, which has worn down the cartiledge and makes my knee easy to slip in and out of place. It hurts and feels really horrible when I slowly bend down, cross my legs, sit on my legs or slowly stand up. And I have to slowly stand up or bend down because the doctor said it was safer that way, sitting or standin up quickly could apparently put it outta place again. It really aches sometimes and is always clicking especially when I go up the stairs :( Will it go away, and is there a chance it'll go back out of place again? Well not much info about the chopper crash. Here is a theory; A modified chopper, few in service and possibly not too completely engineered. Has extra rotor blades to reduce noise (stealth feature). Most likely very heavily loaded with armed troops. Dropped down low over the fenced compound to lower the seals. The tall and solid walls of the compound restricted the airflow over the walls. The air can not recirculate and get back over the rotor blades. The blades stall, lose lift and the bird plops onto the ground. Also possible F.O.D interference from extra dirt, flying trash. Foundation keeps SMEARING/rubbing off?

It sounds to me that maybe you're trying way to hard for it not to fall. Even though you are using great quality products, they may not be good together. How about trying just wearing foundation and that's it? I use bare minerals and I have oily skin but it doesn't rub off, and a couple hours later when I notice i just retouch. Also, trying using lighter foundations or for your skin type, not only what you hear is good.

I've seen the anime which was typical....frustratingly anime. I know Yuki goes with Kaname (which I LOVE) but it's clear that she and Zero are in love as well. This is a tough one for me because Kaname is a die hard do anything, sacrifice anything for Yuki, who doesn't love that?! But Zero has the whole wounded warrior I don't care about my life or anyone other than you which I am a total sucker for. Does our dog have arthritis, torn ACLs, or neither?

I have a twelve year old Shepard/Husky mix. She is my boyfriends "childhood" dog and we took her from his mother about four months ago when his mother moved. For the past two months Kia (the dog) is having trouble walking. If she goes on any hard floor such as wooden or tile she loses her footing and does the splits with her hind legs or falls over while frantically trying to get up. I believe this is painful for her beceause when I try to help her up she either yelps or looks back like she is going to snap at me. She also crosses her legs when she walks sometimes and appears to be pigeon footed in her hind legs. When she pees she almost always sits in it from doing the splits while peeing or pooping. I have been looking for what this could be but cant find anything that matches her symptoms. I am looking for what this could possibly be because our regular vet doesnt have an x-ray machine. I am absolutely terrified to go to sleep again. I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in a week. How did the pigeon on my balcony die?

A mom pigeon bird laid two egg on my balcony. One egg was cracked. The other egg hatched. That bird grew to about a few months old and sits on the roof of the building next door. Two more eggs were found in the nest that hatched. Two more birds came out. One flew away but the other one just sat on top of a box over the nest never flying. It seemed the mom or dad bird was trying to get it to fly for weeks but it never flew. It just stayed in the corner. It looked sad and hurt. Two more babies were born. The mom and dad have been feeding the two new babies. This middle bird's brother or sister flew off never to be seen again. Every time I would leave out food, the bigger birds would come and get it. Extremley Insane Puppy?

Training dogs is so frustrating! but it IS possible, no matter how stubborn your dog can be. I've trained 2 dogs and i'm in the middle of training 2 more without professional help of any sort (except treats). The key is repetition and persistence. chose a keyword or command, practice it everyday or as often as possible, and do not give her any treats or praise until she gets it right. (fun fact, dogs can learn between 150-300 commands) if there's a way to show her, try that (for example, for 'down' or 'lay down', try bending down a bit and pointing to or touching the ground or floor). in an instance where you're trying to house-train, time-out works pretty well, i've found. make a loud sound when you catch them going potty in the house (you HAVE to catch her or she won't know what she did wrong and you can't punish her.), and immediately take them outside. if they pee outside, they get a treat. if the don't, put them in a small area in your house (like, just big enough for them to be able to turn around and lay down and stuff) for 15 or 20 minutes, then take her outside again, and the cycle continues until she goes to the bathroom outside. a really big and helpful way of getting your dog trained though, whether it's peeing in the house, or just teaching them commands for obedience and showing off (like getting her to hold a treat on her nose), is associating treats with good behavior and listening and responding to commands, and time-out and not getting any treats to bad behavior, etc. if she gets bored with dog treats, you can try some human foods, like maybe a small piece of chicken or bacon.. my dogs like everything- cheetos, cheese, cookies, any kind of meat... just find something she LOVES and never turns down, and go from there =) hope this was helpful.. any other questions, let me know ^-^

Super Smash Bros Brawl disc help?

I finally found my Super Smash Bros Brawl disc afte two years of searching. I plopped it into my Wii and everthing eas working perfectly fine. Right after I chose my character, a message popped up on my screen, saying that the Wii could not read the disc. I cleaned the back of the disc carefully and thoroughly but the same message popped up everytime. I found out that I'm able to go in the Vault, Options menu and the other stuff, but when I'm about to play, the game stops and the message pops up. I've tried everything to get this game working but it just won't play. Is there somethig thatI'm missing? I have no idea what's wrong with the game. Could the problem be the game itself or the Wii? Please help because I really need answers to why this game won't work when it has in the past.

She is 7 months old Tortie Point Mitted Kitten and strictly a indoor. Has toys but could care less about them. I just purchased a 52 inch cat tree for her and its suppose to be here any day now. I'm scared to go to sleep because I almost killed my daughter?

I am absolutely terrified to go to sleep again. I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in a week. Last Monday I was home alone with my 1 year old daughter and she was playing with her little bouncy ball and like an idiot I left the back door open which is about 4 feet from our pool. The phone rang and it was my mom and I was drawed into this conversation with her while my daughter was running around with her toy. Then there was this plop noise and I turned around for just a second and I saw water splashing and her toy in the pool. I need info on Mocking Birds?

My sister found a fledgling Mocking Bird in her yard a week ago after a bad storm. It was the only survivor of three. There was no nest around to put it back into so she took it in and began feeding it. It's doing rather well but there is a problem. Since being brought in and being around humans, cats and dogs it no longer has a fear of any of these things. No one is sure whether it would be best to keep the bird in a home (I would take it in) or to try to release it. If she lets it go the first time it plops itself down in front of a stray cat it's going to be done for. Which is better keep it as a pet or try to let it go and hope it can fend for itself. No one wants to be cruel to the bird which is why we aren't sure which is better.

I have a model GDM-26. It's was blowing really cold, 30 degrees, then warm, 50 degrees, alternating between the two. Now it's not blowing cold at all and the coils on top do not get cool/cold. Both upper and lower fans are working, the compressor is running smooth no clicking on or off and the condenser on the bottom is totally clean, also the thermostat seems to work, it turns the compressor off when you switch it to zero. I know with my cat, if I do not give her attention, she will grab my hand with her mouth but she has never penetrated my skin. Honestly, just put her and the babies in the garage if you have one. A raccoon could end up taking a kitten or any other creature. She's acting weird because she's exhausted and most likely still sore from giving birth. My cat was not herself when she had given birth for a week but after a week she got used to being a mother and was fine. So just put her and the babies somewhere safe. Get some advantage for her so she does not infest the babies with fleas and when they hit 8- 12 weeks old, put an ad up for them to be adopted or bring them to a humane society. Up to you.

I've had two c-sections, first one was ok recovey, but the second I had adhesions (where they have stitched the muscles with the 'hole' in tummy), and this caused the sharp shooting pain in one side, similar to what you are saying. They also left some placenta in the uterus which was causing continued bleeding and pain. I'm not a doctor, and I can't be sure what problem you have, but I can say for sure that this is not normal, and not good enough. Go and see a different doctor to get fixed, and then speak to a lawyer to sue for negligence, because that is what this is. Good luck and godspeed.

hello, i went in to the garden early this morning and found a baby pigeon out there. It seems quite alert and flapping its wings alot. i tried to put him on a branch of a tree as his mother and father are around. however the tree he lives in is a big conifer and impossible to get in and find his nest so he was put in one right near it, he didnt move from there, his mon n dad came to him but hours passed and he hadnt gone in to his tree. he can walk and is trying to fly but not there yet. he did try to fly again and fell out the tree he was in so put him in a box for the night so he was safe and warm and going to try again in the morning. but dont know what to do with him. anyone know?

We are a team of three working on a software project. Me , my Team-Lead and my colleague. The team is formed couple of months back and we are working on a new project. My Team-Lead is an highly intelligent guy and has lot of knowledge. The problem is he does not want to share his knowledge. He does not want to help his team and does not interact with the team when it comes to work related stuff otherwise on general topics(non-work related) he talks a lot. My colleague is a girl who (seems like) has shown fake experience. Her husband's friend owns a company and she without working there, has shown the experience of 2-3 years. She does not know anything about our work. Complete zero knowledge. Her husband has taught her a computer language and that is it. She keeps asking me very very silly questions in a very low voice and tells me to help her and understand her. I have helped till now but now I am loosing my patience. She never asks my TeamLead to help because she does not want to show him that she does not know the stuff. Also when she asks something he does not help her. I have told her to ask TeamLead instead of me because he is better than me and also it is his responsibility to help his team. She has decided to be in good-terms with TeamLead because she said he is the one going to let Manager know about our work-progress at the time of appraisal. If I start working she sits behind me and keeps looking at my screen. This makes me uncomfortable and I have told her to do her work and let me or LEad know when she has a doubt. TeamLead behaves as if this whole is none-of-his-business. He is capable of handling the whole project. I am not too good and not too bad. I am learning. I also know that the recruiter has given this girl more salary than mine. I feel bad because I have the real experience. Why should I crate train my dog when he is so good for me already?

I adopted a 6month shepherd/lab mix last week and we brought him home and immediately started crate training him. The first few times he walked right in to get his "treat." I give him a kong with frozen peanut butter when he goes in the crate and that is the only time he gets his kong. He only whines and barks a little. Now he doesn't want to get in his crate at all. He sees me pull the kong out of the freezer and goes running to the other room. I sit down next to his crate and call him over to get a treat. He usually comes over and plops into the lap and gives me lots of kisses because he just wants to be next to me all the time. I now lure him into the crate with a small milkbone, but usually have to give him a little nudge to get in. I know you aren't supposed to push or drag them in, but he doesn't want to go in! He is so good all day. Chewed an electrical cord the first day we had him, but hasn't touched them since. He doesn't go on the furniture, or chew anything but his chew toys. He follows me around all day and falls asleep at my feet sometimes under the table where I do my school work. I hate putting him in the crate when I am there because he is in there all morning when I'm at class and all night to sleep. I don't want him to have to go in when I'm home! Does this dog sound like he is good enough to not be trained? Or should I stay with it because he is still so young and I've only had him for a week?

My in-laws are always staying at our house on the weekends - without asking me. How do I say "no"?

My in-laws live about 3 hrs away from my husbands & I's house. It seems like 1x per month - they find some reason that they need to come to our area of the state and plop their feet up at our house for the entire weekend. Lately, their visits are becoming more frequent -- 2-3x per month. My husband and I are very busy - and work opposite schedules -- the weekend is all we have together. And when this crew comes into town - they bring husbands, wives, the mother-in-law and their children. It's like we're a new vacation home for them. I understand that family comes first - but I'm having a hard time enjoying their company when they're always around. They were raised differently then I - they rarely say thank you for meals, never help to clean up, and never say 'thank you' for us allowing them to stay. That makes it all the more difficult. Even worse, my husband is always very excited to have them there - so I just put up with them....again, and again, and again. I need their visits to slow down - but I don't want to be rude and make my weekends and theirs miserable. Should I just be honest and ask them to please back off with their frequent trips? These trips are even more frustrating as I generally find out about them coming 2 days before they head our way - which changes any plans I may have made in the first place. Of course, they never ask me - they always TELL my husband they are coming. HELP HELP HELP with a little advice of how to cure these bad habits these people are starting before it gets worse!! Today was my birthday and i was coming back home from a family meal (it was my 17th bday) and i saw there 2 pigeons on the otherside of the road like walking around in the road, they seemed quite happy together. My dad was driving and as i turned round to look out of the back window i saw this car going towards them and i thought it would slow down or they would fly out of the way but the car seemed to speed up and one of the pigeons moved and the other one went to move but wasnt fast enough and i saw feathers go everywhere and the car just drove straight over it and went speeding off, it didnt even stop! I know many people dont like pigeons but if it was me i would of slowed down and stopped if i had hit it! And after i saw it get hit an the car drove off it was flapping its wings and its mate was there with it! It made me cry because i saw it all and the driver was so heartless not to even stop! I wanted to get out of the car and run to see if it was oki but my dad just kept driving and my family didnt seem bothered which annoyed me! I had this best friend Hannah and well Hannah and I got into a fight because i thought we had plans and it turns out that we didnt. This was at lunch on wednesday. Found an injured pigeon; What can I do to help it?

I found a white pigeon with certain brown markings the other day in Orange Crest. It couldn't fly so I checked it and it's wing was really injured. When I took it home, I cleaned it up real good and found that it had a giant splinter in it's wing, which I pulled out. I think that it may have been attacked by an animal in the neighborhood. It looks very healthy besides it's wing. He has a healthy appetite and everything. Currently I am cleaning the wound with hydrogen peroxide 3 times daily since I am not sure that triple antibiotic is safe for it. I also wanna bandage it's wing so that it doesn't move it around a lot but everything I try, it gets pulled off. So all I wanna know is what I can do to help it get better fast and what I can get to make it a little more comfortable. Thanks guys

Super Smash Bros Brawl disc help?

I finally found my Super Smash Bros Brawl disc afte two years of searching. I plopped it into my Wii and everthing eas working perfectly fine. Right after I chose my character, a message popped up on my screen, saying that the Wii could not read the disc. I cleaned the back of the disc carefully and thoroughly but the same message popped up everytime. I found out that I'm able to go in the Vault, Options menu and the other stuff, but when I'm about to play, the game stops and the message pops up. I've tried everything to get this game working but it just won't play. Is there somethig thatI'm missing? I have no idea what's wrong with the game. Could the problem be the game itself or the Wii? Please help because I really need answers to why this game won't work when it has in the past.

so i know to much info , but i was going to use the toilet, and i put my phone in the back pocket since i was wearing jeggings and most jeggings dont have front pockets(in that case, mine didnt) anyways so right when i was pulling down my pants i heard a plop (it wasnt poo) and i checked an my phone fell all the way to the bottum. so i picked it up, i looked at it for around 3 seconds in shock, then i very quickly use the toilet . so it was in the water for around 2 or 3 seconds, i looked at it for 2 or 3 seconds, then i put it down for 3 or 4 seconds, then it was still working , like everthing, so i thought it was no big deal, my friend even called me and everything was fine. so i just dryed it and carried on withh my night. but it turned off after around 4 minutes of talking to my friend. i legit took apart the whole thing and dried it, but no use. the screen is navy ish colour, and when i tried calling my phone(from the house phone) it started to ring, but it wouldnt pick up. so now im too scared to tell me mom cause she will beat me, and tell the whole family, and insult me and stuff(she does when i dont put the t.v box in the "right" order, so yea, im scared to tell her?? im getting a new phone for christmas, my dad promised, but what should i do???

Whats a good bike for starting out?

Ok some im 22 and am about 6.1.. Im looking to buy a bike within the next few years maybe even this year. Now as of this second i have zero experience on a bike but before i ever buy one im going to take all the saftey courses that they offer. Now iv heard things like 250cc are great bikes and even to the point that its absolutly not advisable to buy anything over a 250cc. Here is the problem whatever i get im gonna have for a few years and iv heard that 250cc gets bored really fast. The most driving im going to do is in town 30 mph driving to class especially at the begining and i will never do any driving that is stupid such as 100 mph. And im not looking for a cruiser just a sports bike. what cc should i look for that i will be able to enjoy for years and not get bored but still be able to handle. Also eventually im going to buy a Duc 848 how much experience should one have before buying that bike (yes i know the repair and everything is expensive if dropped, money is no issue here) Thanks for the help
